Love's Travel Stops Raises Money for Children's Miracle Network

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores partnered with the Oklahoma’s 2009 Children’s Miracle Network to raise funds for its 10th annual fundraiser, which supports medical research.

"This is a company wide effort," Meg Martin, spokesperson for The Gooden Group Inc., which represents Love’s, told CSNews Online.

Martin explained Love’s recently acquired a c-store location it had in its sights for many years, due to its close proximity to the company’s Oklahoma City headquarters. "The deal was officially announced last Thursday," Martin told CSNews Online. "The new location joins all of the other stores in the fundraising effort."

To date, Love’s has raised more than $50,000 dollars. "The majority of the money is raised by in-store donations," she said. When the program concludes in November, Martin said the company will release the total monies raised for the Children’s Miracle Network.
