Logic Secures Patent for E-Cigarette Puff Counter

6/12/2012

LIVINGSTON, N.J. -- Logic Technology Development has been awarded a patent for a digital indicator for its disposable electronic cigarettes.

The display feature, which the company says is the first of its kind, lets e-cigarette users know how many puffs are left in the product. The approval for the digital indicator came last week and the locally headquartered company expects to feature it on its disposable products soon, Logic CEO Eli Alelov told CSNews Online.

Alelov explained that traditional cigarette smokers can open a pack of cigarettes and know immediately how many they have left. E-cigarette users did not have that option, until now. "This will reshape and redesign the landscape of the electronic cigarette industry," he said.

Logic has other patents pending. Its disposable electronic cigarettes are offered in two flavors -- tobacco and menthol -- and each offers four different levels of nicotine, high volume vapor and the same quality puff as an actual cigarette.
