Little General Store Grows in West Virginia

BECKLEY, W.Va. -- Little General Store Inc. opened a new convenience store in Pineville, W.Va. Located at 256 Appalachian Highway at the intersection of Routes 10 and 97, the store was built on the site of a former Woody's and later Robco Convenience Store and includes an Arby's restaurant and Exxon gas station.

"With our final piece of the puzzle for Wyoming County, we are very excited about opening a Little General Store in Pineville, and welcome the residents of the Pineville area and the former customers of Woody's and Robco Convenience Store to stop by and check us out," said Brian Waugh, director of retail for Little General Store. "Located within our existing territory, we look forward to meeting the shopping, convenience, fuel and eating needs of the people of Pineville and surrounding areas for many years to come, by offering everything to everyone."

The store -- its fourth in Wyoming County -- features movie rentals, New River Coffee, f'REAL milkshakes, Polar Shock frozen beverages and an ATM, as well as c-store staples such as sandwiches, cold beverages, beer, tobacco, snacks and novelties.

"We look forward to leveraging our strengths and operating capability to further expand the Little General business model by offering great prices in convenient places to the residents, and miners of Wyoming County, and the southern West Virginia Coalfields," added Waugh.

Little General now operates 84 c-stores in West Virginia, two stores in Virginia and 14 freestanding foodservice locations.
