Little General Enters Foodservice Arena With Chester's

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Little General Store Inc. is entering the foodservice arena by adding Chester's to four of its convenience store locations in Southern West Virginia.

"We chose Chester's because of the taste and quality of their chicken, as well as the value it gives our customers," said Brian Wangh, Little General's director of retail.

The Little General stores located in Alderson, Pinch, Omar, and Barboursville, W.Va., will serve quick-service restaurant (QSR) Chester's full lunch and dinner menu of bone-in chicken, tenders and boneless wings, as well as a variety of classic side dishes such as signature potato wedges, buttermilk biscuits, green beans and coleslaw.

"Customers love the great value Chester's brought to the Barbousville area. Little General's opening of four locations proves that Chester's is a program that works," said Brenda Ward, area developer with Chester's International.

In addition to the Little General expansion, Chester's recently unveiled renovations to multiple partnership locations.

Chester's, in partnership with Cubby's convenience stores, has recently completed renovations to three of its Cubby's locations -- two Nebraska locations in Pender and Norfolk, and one location in Mitchell, S.D. Cubby's, which operates more than 25 stores in Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota, has been a Chester's partner since 2006.

In the same week, Chester's also announced renovation to its Fair City Foods location in Huron, S.D. Fair City Foods has been a Chester's partner for more than 10 years, and is located near the State Fairgrounds.

Chester's International operates more than 2,000 Chester Fried licensed and Chester's franchised QSR locations.
