Kwik Trip Earns Green Award
LA CROSSE, Wis. -- Kwik Trip Inc., based here, will receive the state's Excellence in Energy Efficiency Award today, according to a report by area radio station NewsTalk 1410 AM.
Corporate communication's Steve Wrobel spoke to the news station regarding some of Kwik Trip's projects that netted it the award, including heating and air conditioning management; refrigeration and heat recovery systems that take waste out of the water used to cool, indoor and outdoor lighting upgrades; and preventative maintenance.
All of the company’s green efforts add up to enough energy savings to power 415 La Crosse, Wis., homes for an entire year, Wrobel said in the report.
