Kum & Go to Partner with New Ad Agency

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa -- Kum & Go, the third largest private owner/operator of convenience stores in the United States, named Cranford Johnson Robinson Woods (CJRW) as the company's advertising agency of record.

Starting January 2010, CJRW will aid in the strategic development of Kum & Go marketing initiatives and will execute materials ranging from in-store signage to broadcast advertising for Kum & Go and its portfolio of proprietary products, the company reported. This portfolio includes offerings under the Hiland brand as well as Java Ridge Premium Coffee, Go Fresh Market sandwiches and Nuclear energy drinks. CJRW will also act as an agent in the purchasing of materials and services required to produce advertising and consumer promotions.

"We are pleased to work with CJRW because they are leaders in their field," Kevin W. Krause, Kum & Go senior vice president of marketing, said in a released statement. "More importantly, they are passionate about the Kum & Go brand. It shows in the quality of their work."

CJRW has a proven track record of developing communications support for national clients such as Tyson Foods, Dillard's Inc. and 3M, among others.

"CJRW was chosen because of its knowledge and experience in marketing, branding and advertising. Their capabilities are exceptional and we are excited about the partnership," Krause said in the statement.
