Kum & Go Opens Eco-Friendly 5K Store in Arkansas

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa – Kum & Go LC opened its latest 5,000-square-foot convenience store at 2214 E. Johnson Ave. in Jonesboro, Ark., on Dec. 13. To celebrate the opening, the store is offering fresh pizza slices for $1 each during its first week of operation.

The new store is Jonesboro's seventh Kum & Go location, but its first "5K"-style c-store. The larger format features the "Go Fresh Market" that offers a wide variety of fresh, made-to-order pizzas, baked goods, and breakfast and deli sandwiches, prepared on-site daily. Outside, the gas pumps also offer diesel and E85 flex fuel.

New Kum & Go stores are also designed, constructed and submitted for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification, as CSNews Online previously reported. The company currently has 67 LEED-certified stores that save energy and water through sustainable practices, with 16 additional stores under construction.

Kum & Go LC operates more than 420 c-stores across Iowa, Arkansas, Colorado, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota and Wyoming.
