Kum & Go Names New Director of IT
WEST DES MOINES, Iowa -- Kum & Go, a 445-unit chain of convenience stores based here, promoted Brian Boettcher to the position of director of information technology, where he will oversee the chain's data security and compliance, the company stated.
Boettcher, a resident of Waukee, Iowa, has been with the company for seven years, most recently in the role of director of network operations, according to the company. The Kum & Go chain is one of the nation's largest retailers that meet the security measures established by the PCI Security Standards Council, the company stated.
"Boettcher's extensive IT experience will serve us well in staying on top of the ever-changing security guidelines," Kyle Krause, president and CEO of Kum & Go, said in a statement. "In addition to this new responsibility, he will continue to help direct other IT initiatives for advancing the fast, friendly and convenient service we provide our stores and customers."
