Kum & Go Gains Two More

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa -- Kum & Go LC, operator of more than 430 convenience stores based here, opened two stores last week -- in Owasso, Okla., and Omaha, Neb., the company stated.

Both stores are 3,400-square-feet and took a little more than four months to construct. Both feature 20 fueling stations including diesel, while the Omaha location offers E85 fuel, making it the 28th store in the chain to sell the alternative fuel, according to the company. In addition, the stores were built with environmental-friendly elements such as heavily insulated glass, LED cooler door lights and energy-efficient coolers, according to the company.

Inside the stores, Kum & Go customers will find Java Ridge Premium Coffee, Napa Creek and Sea Ridge wines, Go Fresh Market Sandwiches, Nuclear energy drinks and Nutri2O nutraceutical waters, according to the company. In addition, the new location will feature a variety of the Kum & Go’s proprietary Hiland brand potato chips, bottled water, cookies and candy, the report stated.

The new location in Owasso, Okla., is the third Kum & Go store in the area and the 50th in the state, the company stated. Kum & Go plans to grow further in the state with the opening of two stores at the end of this month -- in Stillwater and Owasso, Okla., according to the company.

The company's other recently opened store in Omaha, Neb., is the 10th in the area and the 18th in the state. Kum & Go with also further growth in the state with two new stores opening later this year in Omaha and Papillion, Neb., the company stated.
