Kimber Petroleum to Rebrand

LIBERTY CORNER, N.J. -- Kimber Petroleum Corp. yesterday reached a deal with Irving, Texas-based Exxon Mobil Corp. to become a distributor of Exxon fuels.

Under terms of the agreement, Kimber Petroleum will convert its chain of nearly 90 convenience stores from Amoco over to the Exxon brand. Kimber Petroleum's operations are currently focused in Northern and Central New Jersey.

Kimber Petroleum has been a leading marketer of gasoline in New Jersey since 1937. The conversion process is scheduled to begin in April.

"We are moving quickly to convert our locations to Exxon's new retail image standards," said Warren Kimber III, President. "We plan to install Speedpass and we look forward to growing the On the Run brand with our new business partners."

For ExxonMobil, the deal helps increase its brand visibility in one of the most competitive markets in the country.

"We are very pleased to have the Kimber family join the ExxonMobil team," said Jim Carter, U.S. regional director for ExxonMobil Fuels Marketing Co. "Kimber Petroleum is one of the largest gasoline distributors in the United States, and its market presence will help strengthen our brand position in New Jersey."
