Jerry Rose To Retire From McLane Co.

Jerry Rose, vice president of customer relations for McLane Co., announced his retirement last month. According to a letter from Grady Rosier, president and CEO of the nation's largest convenience store distribution company, Rose will end his 22-year career with McLane this month.

During his tenure, Rose held several key positions with McLane including division president, regional vice president, and vice president of sales. He has been in his current position, heading up customer relations, for 11 years, during which time he has built and maintained invaluable relationships with many of McLane's convenience store customers and became well known as an industry leader.

“Jerry's high levels of integrity and honesty have served both he and McLane Company well,” wrote Rosier in a letter to employees on Dec. 28, 2010.

Before joining McLane, Rose served many years as a senior office for Sav-A-Stop, Inc. In 2004, he was inducted into the supplier wing of the Convenience Store News Hall of Fame for outstanding service to retailers and leadership in the supplier community.

“Those of us who know Jerry will miss his energetic and high spirited personality,” added Rosier. “He and his wife Marcia look forward to spending quality time with their family and enjoying activities such as golf and racquetball.”
