Irving Oil Launches Proprietary Visa

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. -- Irving Oil and Bank One have partnered to introduce the Irving Platinum Visa card in its New England markets offering customers an opportunity to earn rewards with each purchase.

The Irving Platinum Visa card features unlimited rewards-earning capabilities, a low introductory rate and no annual fee, said Arthur Irving Jr., owner of the Saint John, New Brunswick-based oil company. Card members will earn three points for every dollar spent on Irving products and services including gasoline, convenience store items and home heating fuel, and one point for every dollar spent on other purchases using the card.

Each time card members accumulate 2,000 rewards points they will receive a $20 reward certificate that may be applied toward Irving purchases.

"We are excited to be partnering with an industry leader like Bank One to provide additional value to our customers," Irving said. "The new Irving Platinum Visa Card provides an easy and simple way for card members to earn and redeem rewards toward Irving products and services."

This summer, participating Irving Mainway locations in New England will offer applications, enabling customers to apply for the card. Approved card members will receive a 500 point bonus with their first purchase utilizing the Irving Visa.
