International News: Topaz Chooses Fuel Price Management Software
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- Topaz, Ireland's largest fuels and convenience store retailer with more than 300 sites, selected a suite of KSS products to provide day-to-day fuel price management and optimization to its retail locations, according to the vendor. The company will use PriceNet, PriceNet Mobile, PriceNet Web, KSS Visualizer and KSS Mapping solutions for a fully integrated fuel price management offering.
The Dublin, Ireland-based company will implement this suite of solutions to enable them to respond more quickly to changing oil prices.
"We selected these KSS solutions to obtain the highest level of efficiency around our execution of fuel price changes," said Frank Gleeson, retail director for Topaz. "Having a system that provides enhanced market responsiveness will enable us to improve our overall performance around fuel volume and margin. We are convinced that these KSS solutions offer our stores a 'best practices' approach to fuel pricing."
PriceNet is a comprehensive pricing solution that supports the key tasks and stakeholders involved in retail fuels pricing, with high levels of automation and an 'exception-based' approach to ensure a rapid response to competitors and market conditions and allow pricing analysts to leverage the power of pricing analytics, the company reported.
PriceNet also includes PriceNet Mobile, which delivers real-time fuels pricing via handheld mobile devices such as PDAs and Blackberrys.
KSS Visualizer is a Web-based data visualization tool intended to draw attention to significant changes in performance measures such as volume, running rates, margin, competitor price position etc, at any level of a retailer's business from individual grade/store to overall network.
Additionally, KSS Mapping presents up-to-the-minute competitor pricing information and performance data on a map-based display, incorporating both traditional map views and satellite photographs.
