Valley Dairy Takes Next Step Into World of Technology

GRAND FORKS, N.D. — Valley Dairy launched a mobile app in partnership with GasBuddy OpenStore that provides information on nearby locations, amenities, hours of operation and gas prices, and enables users to receive exclusive deals and promotions and play games.

Available for download on both Andriod and iOS devices, the Valley Dairy app also features a digital Coffee Club that allows customers to track their coffee purchases and receive a free coffee for every six coffees purchased.

"Valley Dairy is looking forward to taking the next step in the world of technology with our new app," said Monica Musich, president of VALDAK Corp., owner of the Valley Dairy chain. "OpenStore has been wonderful to work with and has made the process very easy. It is great to have the capability as a small company to offer our customers a high-quality and professional app."

Grand Forks-based Valley Dairy owns nine retail units and car washes in its home city, as well as in East Grand Forks, Minn. Seven of its locations offer convenience store items and gasoline.

"Valley Dairy now has a way to engage with convenience store customers on a new level using their mobile app," said Tony Chidiac, vice president of retail at GasBuddy OpenStore. "As more people are turning to their mobile devices for purchasing decisions, this will increase in-store sales and brand loyalty, while delivering a unique customer experience."

GasBuddy OpenStore is a technology solution intended to increase customer loyalty. According to the company, its platform allows retailers to monitor and analyze customer actions in the app in order to learn more about their preferences and behaviors, providing a competitive edge.
