Valero Implements PriceAdvantage at 100th Store

SAN ANTONIO -- Valero Corner Stores reached a technological milestone yesterday when it rolled out the PriceAdvantage fuel price management solution at its 100th location.

According to PriceAdvantage -- a division of Skyline Products -- its software will be rolled out to all 1,000-plus Valero Corner Store locations by the end of 2012's third quarter.

"Valero is focused on continually improving its retail operations and we are proud that PriceAdvantage has provided Valero Corner Stores with the necessary functionality and flexibility to achieve this goal," said Aaron McHugh, head of the PriceAdvantage division. "We are excited to continue to the roll out to the remaining 900-plus Corner Stores."

PriceAdvantage solutions allow fuel retailers to collect competitive data, determine optimized fuel pricing and automate price changes at the point-of-sale, fuel pump and electronic price signs.

As CSNews Online reported yesterday, Valero Energy Corp. announced it was likely to separate its 1,027 U.S.- and 775 Canadian-owned Valero Corner Stores into its own company.
