TravelCenters of America Releases 2.0 Version of Truck Smart Mobile App

WESTLAKE, Ohio -- Professional drivers can now use their cell phones to determine if there's a wait to take a shower at the closest TravelCenters of America LLC(TA) location. And thanks to the release of the chain's 2.0 version of its TruckSmart mobile application for Android and iPhone smartphones, drivers will receive an alert when a shower is ready and can even reserve it for 15 minutes.

The "Instant Shower" feature is not the only enhancement to the TruckSmart 2.0 app. Professional drivers can also access their UltraONE Rewards program account at the touch of a button, including their points balances, shower credits and recent transactions. Upgraded search capabilities are another new feature, as drivers can now search for a TA location by the name of a highway, as well as share location coordinates or place a call to TA customer service.

"TruckSmart 2.0 is a blockbuster; a category killer," said Tom O'Brien, president and CEO of TA. "Drivers have asked for the UltraONE loyalty club features we've added. But what I am really excited about is the instant shower feature. UltraONE members can reserve a shower from their sleeper cabs, from the store or from anywhere in the country, without stopping at the driver kiosk."

TruckSmart 2.0 can be downloaded at www.tatravelcenters.com/trucksmart. A 3.0 version of TruckSmart is expected to be released in the near future, the company said.
