Tedeschi Food Shops Completes MPLS Network Upgrade

ROCKLAND, Mass. -- Tedeschi Food Shops completed an MPLS network upgrade in partnership with MegaPath Corp. Following the installation, the company now has seamless communications between its headquarters and nearly 200 convenience stores.

The MegaPath solution enables the retailer to transmit e-mails; streamline order processing; send information for promotional materials to its stores; provide greater access to information and reporting services; and perform various other functions. In addition, these services allow for "grow as you go" speed enhancements to meet Tedeschi's future demands, resulting in a lower total cost of ownership of the technology, according to the companies.

Tedeschi also implemented the MegaPath PCI Compliance Coverage package to address logging, transaction processing and other credit/debit sales mandates of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
