Sunshine Gas Expands MegaPath Service to More Sites

MIAMI -- Sunshine Gasoline Distributors Inc. is expanding its relationship with MegaPath Corp. The new deal will bring MegaPath's broadband, Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS), Wireless Failover and Managed Security Services to 140 additional Sunshine Gas locations.

With this expansion, the Florida-based gasoline distributor with convenience store and gasoline locations is able to meet and exceed the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) using MegaPath's Network Security Compliance Services.

"When originally selecting MegaPath as our service provider, the goal was to improve security capabilities and establish a failover system that could support reliable communications and transaction processing," said Max Alvarez, vice president of Sunshine Gasoline Distributors. It was an easy decision to expand MegaPath's services to 140 new sites because we are confident in the integrity of our transactions."

MegaPath enables each Sunshine Gas location to continuously monitor the broadband connection and transition between wireline and wireless broadband in the event of a primary service outage. This capability ensures that no revenue is lost in the event of a disruption.

Miami-based Sunshine Gasoline Distributors is also leveraging MegaPath's recent expansion of its 3G/4G wireless footprint and pooled-usage plans in locations not accessible by wireline access, according to MegaPath.
