Spinx Switches to PriceAdvantage

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- The Spinx Co. has replaced its previous fuel price management software with Skyline Products' PriceAdvantage software at its 65 convenience stores in North and South Carolina. PriceAdvantage automates the pricing process and provides competitor survey data, volume histories and retail margins.

"We couldn't be happier that PriceAdvantage has replaced our previous fuel pricing solution," said Spinx Co. founder and CEO Stewart Spinks, who was inducted into the Convenience Store News Industry Hall of Fame earlier this month. "It is a superior tool in that it gives us the ability to pull historical data easily, manage multiple price changes per day and provide a user-friendly interface at the headquarters and store level."

Spinks added that the company's managers spend approximately 45 percent less time entering data since the chain implemented PriceAdvantage.

"It's invigorating to hear from an Industry Hall of Famer like Stewart Spinks that PriceAdvantage is providing The Spinx Co. with a more efficient and effective fuel pricing tool," said Aaron McHugh, head of the PriceAdvantage division for Skyline.

In addition to providing detailed information, PriceAdvantage allows operators to change prices at fuel pumps, electronic price signs and the point-of-sale from one centralized location. Texas-based convenience store chain CEFCO announced its chainwide partnership with Skyline’s PriceAdvantage earlier this month, as CSNews Online reported.
