SpeedyQ Speeds Up Fuel Pricing Time by 75 Percent

KIMBALL, Mich. — By-Lo Oil Co.'s implementation of PriceAdvantage's mobile solution has reduced by 75 percent the amount of time needed to establish and post new fuel prices across its network of 18 SpeedyQ Market locations in Michigan.

Before implementing the PriceAdvantage solution in 2013, it took SpeedyQ four hours to make multiple daily fuel price changes. Now, the same process takes just 10 minutes, according to the Colorado Springs, Colo.-based technology provider.

"The greatest benefits have been improving area manager’s communications with our stores and optimizing our employees' potential to market and sell more products and services," said By-Lo President Kyle Lawrence.

Specifically, the PriceAdvantage mobile app allows SpeedyQ managers to have more time to develop their store employees' sales and marketing skills, thus helping them serve more customers in less time, raise the average transaction and improve customer satisfaction, reported PriceAdvantage.

“We know that each of our customers have a unique fuel pricing need and each day we learn of their unique successes,” stated Chip Stadjuhar, president and CEO of PriceAdvantage parent company Skyline Products. “For Kyle and his team, our mobile application has given them the freedom to make rapid, reliable fuel price changes and use the time savings to focus on other critical business functions. We are proud to partner in their continued success.”

PriceAdvantage's technology solutions are intended to allow fuel marketers to execute their fuel pricing strategies faster and more accurately by reducing manual processes and human errors.

Kimball-based By-Lo Oil Co. operates its SpeedyQ Market convenience stores in the thumb region of Michigan, which is outlined by Saginaw Bay on its west shoreline and Lake Huron on its east shoreline.
