CRANSTON, R.I. – Colbea Enterprises LLC installed Gilbarco Veeder-Root's Applause TV with VNET at the pump at all of its Seasons Corner Market locations throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
According to Gilbarco, Colbea is installing Applause TV as both a retrofit to existing dispensers and as an option on new Encore 700 S dispensers. Hence, the retailer is not only improving the customer fueling experience, but also taking steps toward EMV (Europay, MasterCard and Visa) compliance standards.
"We have been very pleased with Applause TV so far and look forward to bringing this consumer engagement technology across our Seasons Corner Market locations," said Andrew Delli Carpini, CEO of Colbea Enterprises. "Gilbarco's Applause TV media platform is a great marketing tool that allows us to engage with the fueling customer, promote our program and create awareness around site specific offerings, such as our car washes and food service co-brands that include Dunkin' Donuts, Honey Dew, and Mary Lou's. The couponing functionality has driven successful consumer conversion to many of these in-store offerings."
Applause TV with VNET is a turnkey digital forecourt marketing solution designed to allow retailers to entertain and inform their customers easily, while also providing the option for convenience store retailers to add advertisements for in-store promotions and on-demand couponing capabilities.
"We are excited that Colbea Enterprises has chosen Gilbarco as their partner to bring both powerful marketing tools and EMV solutions to their forecourt," said Travis Bouck, vice president of marketing with Gilbarco Veeder-Root. "This partnership reflects the strength of the Applause platform in growing a retailer's business and shows the forward-looking and innovative mindset of Colbea Enterprises."
Greensboro, N.C.-based Gilbarco Veeder-Root provides a broad range of integrated solutions from the forecourt to the convenience store and head office.
Cranston-based Colbea Enterprises LLC was founded in 1962. It expects to operate 25 c-stores in Rhode Island and Massachusetts by the end of 2015.
