SageNet Acquires Redlight Communications

TULSA, Okla. -- SageNet of Tulsa LLC, a provider of network managed services to 6,000 convenience store locations and several quick-service restaurants, purchased Redlight Communications. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

SageNet acquired Redlight's customer base, revenues and employees. Don Bumgardner, Redlight founder and CEO, will now serve as a SageNet vice president.

"Redlight is a perfect strategic fit for SageNet, said Daryl Woodard, SageNet's president. "The c-store/petroleum market represents a tremendous growth opportunity, and I am confident that adding Don's leadership and extensive industry knowledge will enable us to continue growing our share of the multi-site retail market."

Macon, Ga.-based Redlight specializes in the design, configuration and installation of wide-area networks (WANs) for the c-store and petroleum industry. Bumgardner also founded FusionPoint, which in 1998 designed and installed the first WAN at a convenience store, according to SageNet.

"I am delighted to join the SageNet team," said Bumgardner. "SageNet is a growing company that I have had my eye on for some time. Together, our combined resources, customer base and leadership give us a distinct competitive advantage in the c-store petroleum marketplace."
