Kroger's Family of Stores Gifts Customers With '25 Merry Days'

CINCINNATI — The Kroger Co. family of stores is celebrating more than the traditional 12 days of Christmas with a new website, 25 Merry Days. Savvy consumers can take advantage of special offers and holiday assistance, including a festive, social media-based campaign, from Dec. 1 through Dec. 25.

"Our customers rely on us for the best prices on the widest assortment of items, and we thought December was the perfect time to really save them money when they need it the most," stated Anne Maness, leader of Kroger's digital marketing team. "In addition, we wanted to anticipate any other holiday need they may have, from what to bring to the neighborhood potluck to how to spread joy in a fun, spontaneous way."

Kroger's "25 Merry Days" gifts to its customers include:

  • Exclusive Daily Deals digital coupons for products and gift cards that last for 24 hours, with a new deal arriving each day.
  • A Cheer Challenge that encourages customers to spread the cheer each day by posting pictures or videos of different "Challenges of the Day" on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #CheerChallenge. Challenges will range from sharing images of a busy but happy holiday kitchen, to "paying it backward" by buying a small treat for the next customer in line at the store.
  • Recipes such as brie en croute and the whimsical waffle/doughnut "wonut."
  • Gift ideas, from edibles to homemade coconut oil hand soap.
  • Tips and tricks for holiday dilemmas, such as improved present organization and easy and festive ideas for spreading holiday cheer throughout the home.
  • How-to videos to help create impressive decorations and recipes that look as good as they taste.
