TEMPLE, Texas — CEFCO Convenience Stores introduced a new deals club, the CEF Club, as well as a redesigned website at www.cefcostores.com. Both launches were done in partnership with GasBuddy OpenStore.
The CEF Club, an email and SMS-based program, allows participants to receive digital coupons and alerts about giveaways, promotions and other various store deals. The club can be signed up for on the new website, which boasts such new features as a clean design and engaging user experience with enhanced search and navigation tools.
"CEFCO Convenience Stores and our customer base have grown significantly in recent years, and we knew we needed a better way to serve and communicate to our customers,” said Brett Giesick, chief retail officer of CEFCO. “GasBuddy OpenStore has provided a robust site, which will create a new digital experience for our customers. We now have increased control over our website and digital marketing, which allows us to better serve our customers.”
GasBuddy noted that its OpenStore platform will provide CEFCO with an unique opportunity to boost customer loyalty, traffic and sales.

The GasBuddy OpenStore platform is intended to increase customer loyalty by providing two-way communication between convenience store owners and customers using web technologies and custom-branded mobile applications.
Temple-based CEFCO operates 226 locations.
