Bill Payment Kiosks Coming to Circle K Stores

ATLANTA -- Gulf Power customers in the Pensacola and Fort Walton Beach, Fla., areas now have another reason to visit select Circle K stores.

Gulf Power Co. teamed up with TIO Networks Corp. to offer real-time utility bill payment capabilities utilizing a self-service kiosk. According to TIO Networks, its self-service kiosks are accessible 24/7, and in multiple languages. Customers can pay their monthly utility bills as long as they have cash and a copy of their bill.

“We’re excited to offer our customers this service, which will help alleviate wait times and ultimately make the bill payment process more convenient,” Jeff Rogers, corporate communications manager for Gulf Power, stated in a news release. “We hope to expand to additional locations throughout our service market as customers become more accustomed to the automated kiosks.”

Gulf Power and TIO Networks plan to expand the service to additional convenience store locations once customers become more familiar with the technology, reported Self-Service World.

“Paying bills on time can be challenging for many Americans today,” said Hamed Shahbazi, CEO and chairman of TIO Networks. “Our goal is to remove the barriers that make bill payment difficult and help our partners provide value-added services to their customers.”

Circle K is a division of Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc.

Gulf Power serves more than 430,000 customers in Northwestern Florida. The utility company is owned by Atlanta-based Southern Co.

Vancouver, B.C.-based TIO Networks is a cloud-based bill payment processor serving telecom, wireless, cable and utility bill issuers in North America.
