7-Eleven Opens First Electric Car Charging Station

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. -- Customers at the 7-Eleven store at 3993 North Sierra Way here can soon get their electric cars charged, along with their Slurpees.

7-Eleven Inc., a division of Tokyo-based Seven & I Holdings Co., is opening the chain's first electric car charging station at this location, according to a company statement.

The grand opening is set to take place at the store this Saturday. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., where a Nissan Leaf will be used to demonstrate how to charge a car electrically.
