7-Eleven to Celebrate 'Reverse 7-Eleven Day' in Canada

VANCOUVER, British Columbia — 7-Eleven Inc. is throwing itself a second birthday celebration.

Starting Monday, Nov. 7 — the reverse of 7-Eleven’s birthday on July 11 — the convenience store operator is hosting an event to celebrate this special day in reverse by using its social media accounts to sporadically post reverse messages, flipped images and turn its logo inside out.

To commemorate Reverse 7-Eleven Day, on Nov. 7, Slurpee fans across the country can wear their clothes backwards to any 7-Eleven store to receive a free medium Slurpee.

The promotion will be held at all 7-Eleven stores from British Columbia to Ontario. Medium Slurpee drinks will be available between 11 a.m. – 7 p.m., or while quantities last.

Consumers are encouraged to upload pictures of their backwards outfits to Twitter, Instagram and Facebook with the hashtag #Reverse711.

7-Eleven consumers can scan their free Slurpee through the 7Rewards app and receive two stars toward their free seventh cup. 7Rewards can be downloaded through the iOS or Android app store or at 7Rewards.ca.

Irving, Texas-based 7-Eleven Inc. operates, franchises and licenses more than 60,000 7-Eleven stores in 17 countries, including 10,700 in North America.
