SymphonyIRI AllScan Adds BP, Murphy Oil to Tracking Sample

CHICAGO -- SymphonyIRI has added of BP and Murphy Oil to its SymphonyIRI AllScan Convenience Store Tracking Service bringing that sample set to 19,000 convenience stores.

"The convenience channel is massive and diverse, consisting of more than 148,000 venues," said Kevin O'Malley, senior vice president, content product management, SymphonyIRI. "By further improving our industry leading AllScan service using the largest sample set in the market, SymphonyIRI provides the best most accurate data available to our clients for measuring this challenging retail segment."

AllScan, a 100-percent, scan-based convenience tracking service, features include weekly data granularity, visibility into sales for all items selling in convenience, and UPC-level pricing. AllScan's client base includes more than 100 CPG manufacturers and retailers.

SymphonyIRI plans to add additional AllScan enhancements in 2012 which will feature new syndicated category reporting, including electronic cigarettes and gas price monitoring.
