GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Convenience distributor S. Abraham & Sons (SAS) will bring a touch of magic to the theme of its 30th annual vendor exhibit and trade show, which will feature 175 booths, represent 260 manufacturers and nearly 100 new items for SAS and its customers. Approximately 1,500 stores will be represented by buyers.
The show will open at the DeVos Place Convention Center in Grand Rapids on Thursday, Feb. 25 at 9 a.m. for multi-store owners and 2 p.m. for all customers. It continues on Friday, Feb. 26 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
On the show floor, Houdini's Magic Mart will highlight "magical" merchandising ideas, new fixtures and an array of foodservice items cooked up by SAS magicians. Featured programs include Champs Chicken, Calico Fudge, Hot Off the Grill, Fruit Ridge Farms, Peppers Smoothies, Peanut Patch Boiled Peanuts, Revolution Tea, Beantown Coffee, Joe Coffee and an espresso machine through Bunn.
Comedy magician Mike Hammer will serve as headline entertainment for The Grand Illusion, the show's Thursday evening event. He has performed his interactive comedy/magic show as a Las Vegas headliner for the past 25 years. Following dinner and the show, guests will enjoy a dessert buffet hosted by Mondelēz International that includes Oreos, Toblerone bars, Nabisco Nilla Wafers and more.
