S. Abraham & Sons Gets Magical for Its 2012 Trade Show

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Industry wholesaler S. Abraham & Sons (SAS) revealed the theme of its 2012 Vendor Exhibit and Trade Show: The Magical Mystery Tour. This year's theme is a nod to the 50th anniversary of The Beatles, the company said.

The 26th annual SAS event will be held at DeVos Place Convention Center in Grand Rapids and feature 140 booths, representing 251 manufacturers. Twenty-one of these suppliers will mark new lines for SAS. A new customer ordering system will allow each customer, chain or independent to take home their order information on a USB flash drive. Approximately 1,500 stores will be represented by buyers at this year's show.

The show opens Feb. 23 at 9:00 a.m. for multi-store owners and at 2:00 p.m. for all customers. Following dinner, customers and vendors will be entertained by Yesterday: a Beatles Tribute Band. The show reopens for all customers Feb. 24 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The 2012 SAS Vendor Exhibit and Trade Show will feature a mix of packaged convenience and foodservice items, displayed within the show's convenience store, as well as at vendor booths. New merchandising concepts and fixtures will be featured within the show store.

Fruit Ridge Farms, SAS' proprietary fresh program, will showcase a variety of sub sandwiches, including the new meatloaf sub and wedge sandwiches, along with side and dinner salads. Fresh fruits and produce are also an important part of the program. Other returning exhibits are Beantown, SAS' proprietary coffee program, and "Hot Off the Grill", SAS' proprietary roller grill program featuring Nathan Hot Dogs.
