NACS Offers Members Credit on Nielsen Data

ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- NACS announced a new member benefit allowing both retailers and suppliers to receive up to a $2,000 credit when they participate in The Nielsen Co.’s Syndicated Data Program.

Nielsen, parent company of Convenience Store News, offers retailers and suppliers a deeper understanding of their competitive marketplace through its Syndicated Data Program. Participating companies can request reports based on category, consumer purchase behavior, consumer demographics for the channel or TDLinx store information, among many other options available.

NACS retail member companies with fewer than 50 stores are eligible for a credit of $1,500 in the NACS/Nielsen Syndicated Data Program. If the company also belongs to a state association it qualifies for an additional $500 credit. Retailers must scan at the point of purchase to participate in the program.

Supplier member companies eligible for the $2,000 credit must have annual sales of less than $200 million.

"This agreement enhances NACS’ offer in delivering actionable research to members," said NACS Vice Chairman of Research Greg Parker, president of The Parker Cos., based in Savannah, Ga.

NACS retail and supplier members interested in learning more about the program should go to www.nacsonline.com and click on "Member Services," or call (703) 684-3600.
