Kroger Co. Selects Conferencing Platform

ATLANTA -- The Kroger Co. plans to offer corporate training and collaboration capabilities to its Fred Meyer division of approximately 136 multi-department stores, with the potential to rollout to remaining Kroger stores in the future, according to the company.

Arel Communications and Software Limited will provide the Arel ICP, a software and IP-based conferencing and collaboration platform for employee communication and training, and will deliver both live and on-demand sessions to the stores.

The software allows presenters and participants to interact through live polling and testing, and is interoperable with other vendor solutions allowing Kroger seamless distribution, the company reported.

The Kroger Co. currently operates 794 convenience stores in 16 states, under six banners.
