Irving Oil Continues to Expand Fuel Presence
BRIGHTON, Mass. -- Irving Oil, the regional energy refiner and fuel supplier to more than 700 locations in Atlantic Canada and New England, entered the Brighton market here yesterday -- flying its blue and red logo over a station operated by single-store operator Ardo Garabedian on Western Ave. here.
Along with fuel products now supplied by Irving, the site will also feature a sleek, elegant new look inside Garabedian’s convenience store.
"I’ve been in business here since 1977," said Garabedian. "I am looking forward to working together with Irving to provide our customers with high quality products, personalized service and a commitment to offer outstanding value in today’s economic times."
The store will be offering complete convenience service, including breakfast and lunch deli services.
"Our store redefines what a local convenience store can look and feel like. The store is designed with a clean, modern look, with unique colors and a floor plan created for the customer’s convenience," Garabedian said.
"We’re very pleased to introduce the Irving name to the Brighton area," said Harry Hadiaris, director of operations for Irving Oil. "Irving is always looking to partner with businesses that share our values, and this is a great fit for us."
Last year, Irving, based in New Brunswick, expanded its marketing agreement with Circle K parent, Alimentation Couche-Tard, calling for Couche-Tard to take over operation of the c-stores at 196 Irving Oil locations, 124 of which are in the U.S.
However, Irving continues to expand its fuel presence in the Northeast U.S. Last month, the company bought six gas stations/convenience stores from Webber Energy of Bangor, Maine.
