Green Oil and Tedeschi Contribute to Charities for the Holidays

NEW YORK -- Geo H. Green Oil, of Fairburn, Ga., supplier of fuels to 46 South Metro convenience stores; and Tedeschi Food Shops of Rockland, Mass., which operates nearly 200 c-stores in New England, each donated $25,000 recently to charitable causes.

Green Oil is making almost 1,000 underprivileged local children happy on Christmas morning with toys and clothing from the Empty Stocking Fund, and Welcome House Women's Shelter, Fairburn's 'In His Great Name Family Ministry,' and Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund will all benefit from the donations, according to Jim Callahan, director of marketing at Green Oil.

"The company was able to achieve record setting contributions of $25,000, surpassing last year's campaign by more than $8,000," said Callahan. "Through a great effort from Greenway Stores and Green Oil office employees, we were able to achieve fantastic results."

Meanwhile, Tedeschi Food Shops made a pledge to the Toys for Tots Foundation in October, setting a goal to raise $25,000, and Tom Hart, vice president of Tedeschi Food Shops presented the check yesterday to Colonel Kevin Doyle USMC (retired).

"The outstanding efforts on the part of our general managers and franchisees is the reason we met our contribution goal," related Tom Hart, Tedeschi Food Shops vice president of sales.

The Tedeschi Select / Toys for Tots campaign began on Monday, Dec. 4th with the commitment that 10 cents from every Tedeschi Select soda, water, candy, potato chips, bread and fresh sandwich sold this holiday season would go to the Toys For Tots Foundation. All Tedeschi Food Shops, Li'l Peach and Store 24 locations embraced this worthwhile cause.

Over the past two years, Tedeschi Food Shops has donated $45,000 to the Marines / Toys for Tots Foundation.
