Eby-Brown Expands With L.A. Edlbeck Co. Purchase

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Eby-Brown Co. LLC has reached a definitive agreement to purchase the assets of L.A. Edlbeck Co. of Green Bay, Wis. The move expands Eby-Brown's presence in Wisconsin.

Privately held L.A. Edlbeck services convenience stores in northeast Wisconsin. Eby-Brown, also privately held, is a convenience store distributor with retail accounts throughout the Midwest, Atlantic Coast and Southeast. Its annual revenues are in excess of $5 billion, according to the company.

"Wisconsin has been a core market for us. We are most excited about establishing additional relationships with convenience store retailers in northeast Wisconsin," said Thomas Wake, co-president of Eby-Brown. "Edlbeck has serviced the convenience market well through three generations.
