Dresser Wayne Nucleus POS Reaches 11,000th Installation

AUSTIN, Texas -- Dresser Wayne installed its 11,000th Nucleus point-of-sale system, built on the retail-hardened IBM platform and available for installation with Dresser Wayne, Gilbarco and other dispensers, according to the company.

"With the integration of Dresser Wayne's Fusion Forecourt System, Nucleus POS can interface with virtually any dispenser on the island, regardless of manufacturer," said Tom Chittenden, retail systems product manager for Dresser Wayne. "Thousands of petroleum retailers know that Nucleus enables faster employee training times, flexible merchandising capabilities, and connectivity with a wide variety of petroleum retail peripherals, all of which translates into real bottom line value."

Dresser Wayne Nucleus POS has been certified as PCI compliant, and its large, easy-to-use Nucleus POS touch screen enables faster, more accurate transactions, allowing retailers to serve their customers efficiently, the company reported.

More than 25 percent of all Nucleus POS systems installed today interface with non-Dresser Wayne dispensers, and the company's Fusion Forecourt System interfaces with multi-vendor point-of-sale systems and forecourt devices for simplified retail fuel control, according to the vendor.
