Dove Sponsors Awards Program

NEW YORK, NY

To recognize and honor women who push themselves to exceptional limits, cleansing-product manufacturer Dove has teamed up with Woman's Day to sponsor the magazine's inaugural "Women Who Inspire Us" Awards.

First Lady Laura Bush was selected as a special honoree and was recognized along with the four award winners in New York where each winner received a $5,000 honorarium for their accomplishments helping others. Also as part of the Awards program, five "Shining Stars" were selected from among the hundreds of entries to receive a $500 honorarium. All nine women are featured in the November 20 issue of the magazine.

"Dove is very proud to be able to partner with Woman's Day on this very special awards program," said Peter Waxman, North American masterbrand director for Dove. "The 'Women Who Inspire Us' honorees are all women who have accomplished remarkable feats in our country to help make it a better place for all and their accomplishments are both moving and inspirational."
