CFN Accepts T-Chek

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- Commercial Fueling Network, one of the nation's fueling cardlock networks, said it will accept the T-Chek card at CFN locations across the country.

The Bay area company is making the changes through its Petro Vend systems. "With our vendors' overwhelming support, our first upgrade to our network looks to be a great success," said John Sullivan, CFN's chief information officer.

CFN said the partnership with T-Chek Systems Inc., the Eden Prairie, Minn.-based provider of payment and information services to the long-haul trucking industry, enhances the CFN overall offering by expanding coverage to the over-the-road segment of the transportation industry.

Paul Nelson, western regional manager at Petro Vend, a major hardware vendor in the cardlock segment, said, "Petro Vend is excited about the deployment of their new CFN 4.2 interface, which will include support for Visa/MasterCard as well as T-Chek cards. Petro Vend has been a terminal fuel solutions provider for T-Chek for many years and is looking forward to providing increased value to CFN participants by providing the ability to accept the T-Chek card."

CFN currently offers continuous access to petroleum products and fueling information, via the Internet, to petroleum marketers and end-user customers. The online fuel management features are aimed at reducing administrative costs and the misappropriation of fuel.
