VIDEO: Your Employees Want to Be Known

ATLANTA — In the third installment of its employee engagement video series, the North America NACS Council of the Coca-Cola Retailing Research Council (CCRRC) shows convenience store retailers how their employees, just like everyone else, want to be known as the unique people they are.

Managers who make the effort to make employees feel valued can transform the way those employees feel about their bosses and the businesses they work for.

Key learnings from this latest video and a corresponding CCRRC blog post include:

  • Caring improves commitment.
  • Ask employees, “How can I support you?”
  • Make time to connect with employees.
  • Recognize that values drive behavior.
  • Be genuine with your employees.

A new video will be released weekly in the six-part series that speaks to the importance of employee engagement and provides c-store retailers with insights they can use in their own stores.

The video series, titled “Power Up Employee Engagement: A Flash of Light,” is a lead-up to a major quantitative study, which will be released in June.

In addition, a narrated PowerPoint presentation by Dr. Blake Frank, a management professor at the University of Dallas, about the power of employee engagement will be made available in April.
