Valley Co-Ops Inc. had the idea of mixing a convenience store into its existing Bellevue, Idaho, co-op location and teamed up with designer Paragon Solutions for ideas and direction on how to blend the two.

It was important to make sure the new c-store section flowed seamlessly into and out of the existing co-op portion. This was achieved by creating clear signage with a playful country vibe.

The design also combines expansive modern concrete floors with brick walls and quirky mixed wood finishes. To add a flair of industrial appeal, the design firm came up with the idea for exposed aluminum air ducts, suspended lighting and maroon-colored beams.

With a Subway restaurant, frozen drinks and premium coffee section in one corner of the c-store section, the rest of the space is used for aisles of shelving to display the c-store’s varied products.

This new fusion store appeals to farmers and city-goers alike, according to the designer.
