Anheuser-Busch Appoints New Sales Team Leader

ST. LOUIS — Anheuser-Busch InBev has appointed a new sales team leader after naming David Almeida to a global special project reporting to Global CEO Carlos Brito.

Almeida joined the company as vice president of finance after serving as head of mergers and acquisitions for InBev, where he spearheaded the 2008 merger with Anheuser-Busch and led the United States integration activities.

Alexandre Médicis will replace Almeida and lead the Anheuser-Busch sales team as vice president of U.S. sales. He joined the company in 2005 as mergers & acquisitions director and has held several commercial positions since then, including trade marketing, region vice president, and BU president of Hispanic Latin America.

Médicis participated in the acquisition and integration of Quilmes in South America, Lakeport in Canada and Cervejaria Cintra in Brazil.

He has a degree in business administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas and will move to New York in January with his wife Carolina and their three children.
