GPM Begins Operating Apple Market Stores

RICHMOND, Va. — GPM Investments LLC has officially taken ownership of the Apple Market locations in Virginia and Kentucky that it acquired from Fuel USA. The deal included 42 convenience stores with gasoline sales, and supply to 20 dealer-operated stores.

The acquisition will further develop GPM's existing portfolio of stores in the Southeast, the company said. It will initially operate these locations under the existing Apple Market brand.

"These stores have served customers with dedication and enthusiasm. We are eager to continue on the same path of service with passion and commitment," stated Don Muscatell, senior vice president of operations for GPM. "Bringing these employees into the GPM family was very important to our leadership team and we look forward to growing with these new stores."

Previous Fuel USA employees were hired by GPM.

GPM Investments, together with its subsidiaries, now operates more than 800 stores in 17 states.
