Ricker's 'Gets Pumped' at Indiana Pacers Games

INDIANAPOLIS -- Ricker's Convenience Stores hopes to score a slam dunk by being an official partner of the National Basketball Association's Indiana Pacers for the 2013-14 season.

Ricker's will sponsor a "Get Pumped!" timeout feature during the fourth quarter of all 41 games at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, beginning with the first game tomorrow night. Cameras will scan the stands for one lucky Pacers fanatic, who will win free gas for a month. In addition, the entire row of the winner will receive a coupon for a free RickerPop fountain drink.

"Being an Indiana-grown company, we know the thrill of an Indiana basketball game is unmatched," said Quinn Ricker, president and CEO of Ricker's. "We want to build on that excitement and offer something fun and valuable to Pacers fans."

Plenty of excitement is expected at Pacers games this year. Many experts expect the Pacers to finish as one of the top four teams in the NBA, with some even thinking they have a realistic chance to win the NBA title.

"We're excited to partner with Ricker's for this in-game promotion, and we believe it will add to the great experience that Pacers fans enjoy at games at Bankers Life Fieldhouse," said Jim Morris, president of Pacers Sports & Entertainment.

As part of the promotion, Ricker's will provide a way for fans to be even happier after Pacers wins. The convenience store retailer will give a free 32-ounce RickerPop to all fans attending a Pacers home win. Customers simply need to present their game ticket at any participating Ricker's location.

Anderson, Ind.-based Ricker's Convenience Stores is a division of Ricker Oil Co. Inc. The company operates 50 convenience stores, which employ more than 650 Hoosiers.
