Quick Chek to Open Prototype in New York

WHITEHOUSE STATION, N.J. -- Quick Chek, a family-operated chain of more than 100 retail food store locations throughout New Jersey and southern New York, will open its newest location -- which is a prototype that features the chain's new brand -- in Lake Katrine, N.Y., on May 28, the company stated.

The 5 a.m. opening of the 7,260-square-foot Quick Chek will be celebrated with a Quick Chek Coffee Toast ceremony the day prior from 4 to 6 p.m., where local officials and community members will gather with Quick Chek representatives to grind, brew and pour the very first cup of Quick Chek's famed fresh coffee at the new location, according to the company.

The latest location will include a coffee bar, sub shop, soup bar, bakery items made fresh everyday, a no fee ATM center, 20 fueling stations and a car wash, the company stated. To promote the store's opening, Quick Chek will donate 25 cents for every sub, sandwich and wrap sold to Ulster Hose Company No. 5, from May 28 to June 24.

CSNews Online reported last month that Quick Chek's new logo features a bright, lime green-colored "Q" with tail shaped like a dark green leaf, which represents the company's commitment to delivering a quality assortment of fresh food products in an elevated foodservice experience.

Going along with the new brand is new private label packaging, as well as advertisements and point-of-purchase materials that feature the new logo and tagline, "Get Fresh. Go Fast."
