JERSEY CITY, N.J. – Chevron Corp. appointed Maria Lindenberg chief procurement officer, effective Jan. 1. She succeeds Leo Lonergan, who will retire from the company on Feb. 1 after 36 years of distinguished service.

Lindenberg, who most recently was general manager of supply chain management for Chevron's Southern Africa Strategic Business Unit, will oversee Chevron's enterprise-wide supply chain management activities, and will reside in Houston.

Lonergan, who began his career in 1976 with Caltex New Zealand, was appointed chief procurement officer in 2005.

Lindenberg joined Chevron in 2007 as vice president, global downstream procurement. She then moved to general manager, Contracting and Procurement, for Chevron's Project Resources Company, and assumed her most recent assignment, based in Luanda, Angola, in 2011.

Kline & Company
Kline & Company promoted Geeta Agashe to senior vice president of Petroleum & Energy on the Kline Management Consulting team, effective Jan. 1.

Agashe has delivered research papers worldwide. She is also a frequent contributor to and expert commentator for industry publications around the world.

Agashe has been with Kline since 1996, and her expertise includes strategy/market development, technology and economic feasibility analysis, mergers and acquisitions and other analyses in the global basestocks, finished lubricants, lubricant and fuel additives, waxes and other related petroleum specialty markets.

Geeta is scheduled to deliver presentations at the 2nd Annual Base Oil and Lubes Middle East Conference (BLM 2013) and the Argus Americas Base Oils Summit, among others.

Pointsmith
Pointsmith hired Shanda Reese as account executive. She will be responsible for working with the Shell US account services team to develop multiple monthly at-store marketing promotions and corresponding point-of-purchase production and fulfillment activities for Shell’s extensive network of branded gas stations throughout the United States — all managed through a customized store profile database developed for Shell utilizing Pointsmith’s proprietary database technology.

Prior to joining Pointsmith, Reese served as public relations account executive at Design at Work, a Houston-based advertising agency.

Tesoro Corp.
Tesoro Corp. appointed Mary Pat McCarthy to the company's board of directors, increasing the board from nine to 10 members, effective Dec. 20.

McCarthy in 2011 retired from her position as vice chair of KPMG LLP, where she held numerous senior leadership roles, including executive director of the KPMG Audit Committee Institute (2008-2011); leader of the KPMG Client Care Program (2007-2008); U.S. leader, Industries and Markets; and global leader, Information, Communication and Entertainment Practice. She also served on the KPMG Management and Operations Committees.
