Huck's Successful with Private Label Fleet Cards

CARMI, Ill. -- Huck's, operator of more than 100 convenience stores across five states based here, chose fleet card services company Fleet One to create its loyalty-based fleet fuel business, and has seen growth in that unit every month since its beginning, the company stated.

In 2000, Fleet One began working with Huck's to provide local fleet cards for its commercial customers. Then, in 2005, Fleet One created and implemented a custom private label card for Huck's fleets.

"Although Fleet One was not the largest service provider we interviewed, they were the most aggressive and most flexible" Mark Bayley of Martin and Bayley Inc., the parent company of Huck's, said in a statement. "They had great ideas for creating a tailored program that could help expand our brand with loyalty-based fleet fuel business."

The addition of the branded Huck's fleet card gave the chain a competitive "fleet" edge in most of their markets, according to Bayley. "With this service, we are able to offer the best in class reporting, security and arguably the best discount flexibility available," he said.

In addition, the Huck's fleet fuel program has allowed the company to focus on growing that part of the fuel business, where the company has seen fleet fuel growth almost every month since the program's beginnings, the company stated.

"Fleet One is a great asset to the Huck's brand, both with their assistance to our growing Fleet Fuel program and their help in better serving our customers. They are a great partner and provide the best in marketing fleet sales programs," Bayley said.
