All Pilot Flying J Sites to Offer DEF in 2013

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Pilot Flying J plans to bring diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) to all of its 525 locations by the end of 2013.

According to a report by DiscoverDEF.com, the company plans to expand its DEF offering to 375 locations by the close of 2012. Pilot Flying J will then add it to the remaining locations throughout its network next year.

"Pilot Flying J's mission to provide the customer with convenient, cost effective and accessible DEF at the pump continues to be the driving force behind a growing network of locations and lanes," Matt Price, Pilot's DEF procurement manager, told the website.

Pilot Flying J, Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores and TravelCenters of America LLC (TA) have been on an aggressive path to offer DEF throughout their networks. In mid-July TA opened its 100th DEF location. All total, the 100 locations offer DEF fueling at more than 400 fuel island lanes, as CSNews Online previously reported.

And as DiscoverDEF.com reported, Love's plans to roll out bulk DEF to all of its locations by the end of 2012 and Thomas M. O'Brien, CEO of TA, also said in a quarterly earnings call in August that "by the end of 2012, [TA Travel Centers] will have bulk DEF available in all our company operated sites."
