Wawa Eyes Another County in Sunshine State

PALM BEACH, Fla. — Wawa Inc. continues to conquer Florida, one county at a time. This time it is making plans to set up shop in Palm Beach County.

According to the Palm Beach Post, the Pennsylvania-based convenience retailer will break ground on its first c-stores in the county in 2016. The chain has not said where the stores will be located.

Wawa will release more details about its expansion into Palm Beach County at an event on Jan. 21, the report added.

Wawa opened its first store in Florida just outside of SeaWorld Orlando in July 2012. The chain now has more than 50 convenience store in the central part of the state. In all, Wawa owns and operates more than 657 convenience stores in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and central Florida.
