VERC Enterprises Wins Regional Contest

DUXBURY, Mass. -- VERC Enterprises' location here was recently named the "Sparkle for Spring" winner in a regional site appearance contest sponsored by the Cumberland Farms Gas Distribution Division, the company stated.

Of the 10 final qualifiers in the northeast for the best store appearance, five were VERC locations, the company stated. Other VERC locations making the list were: Berlin Exxon, Old Route 1 Exxon in Danvers, Lynnfield Exxon and Kingston Gulf.

"Congratulations go out to [store manager] Sunny Iqbal and his fine team and to all our locations that made it to the top ten," Leo Vercollone, CEO of VERC, said in a statement. "In addition to providing the highest caliber customer service it's rewarding to be recognized for the appearance of our welcoming sites."

The Duxbury Exxon location was selected after a day-long inspection by a management team from Cumberland Farms and lauded for its "best curb appeal and overall appearance," according to the company, which operates more than a dozen convenience store/gasoline stations headquartered in Duxbury.

As a winner, the location will receive two Boston Red Sox tickets to an upcoming game against the Chicago White Sox, the company stated.
