VERC Enterprises Listed in 'Boston Business Journal' Book of Lists

DUXBURY, Mass. -- VERC Enterprises, an independent convenience store and gasoline operation with locations throughout Eastern Massachusetts and New Hampshire, was recently named to the Boston Business Journal’s Book of Lists as one of the area’s largest private companies, the company reported.

"We are always pleased to be mentioned by the Boston Business Journal and to be included with so many outstanding businesses," said Leo Vercollone, CEO. "We congratulate the other businesses who have also been recognized in this fashion, and we appreciate all that the Boston Business Journal does to highlight the accomplishments of businesses in this region."

VERC Enterprises was featured on two separate lists, "Area’s Largest Family Businesses" and "Area’s Largest Private Companies." The firm has also been a finalist in the Boston Business Journal’s "Best Places to Work" competition in the past.

The Book of Lists was distributed at a Boston event on Jan. 29, and is now available to subscribers of the Boston Business Journal. It is a "Who’s Who" in the Boston area business community -- listing businesses across a wide range of categories, according to the company.

The privately held, Duxbury-based company recently added its 21st location at 44 Great Road in Acton.

Currently, VERC Enterprises employs more than 185 people throughout its company, and has undertaken an aggressive recruitment campaign for associates and assistant managers, and offers the convenience of applying online at www.vercenterprises.com, the company reported.
